OPEN CALL "OFF SCRIPT" Filmriss Exhibition

Filmriss End of Year Ausstellung im Babylon Berlin am 05.12.26

Topic: “Off Script”

Rules, fixed structures, and straight lines shape the way we live together. Social norms tell us how we’re supposed to function, what’s considered appropriate, and how we can best fit into existing systems.

The open call for the exhibition “Off Script” takes this supposed perfection as a starting point for a visual deconstruction of our everyday lives. We are seeking images that are not defined by technical perfection but rather move us on an emotional level.

“Off Script” doesn’t see deviating from the script as a mistake, but as an opportunity to reveal an honest and unadulterated reality.

🖼️ About the Exhibition

We will be exhibiting a total of 15 large-format framed prints at the historic Babylon Berlin. In addition, every single community submission will be printed in 10x15 cm format and displayed as well.

The exhibition will remain on display at Babylon for one week and can be viewed during opening hours.

The submission fee covers venue costs, organization, printing, framing, as well as a donation to our partner organization, Art Meets Education.

The exhibition opening (Vernissage) will take place on December 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM, alongside the 10th anniversary celebration of Art Meets Education. Through the sale of photographs, they enable children in the Philippines to attend school.
